Rain Sensor

The rain sensor is a feature in your vehicle that automatically starts your wipers and adjusts the speed when it starts raining. It is located underneath your rearview mirror (most of the time) and is hidden by a cover on the inside of your vehicle, but the rain sensor can be seen from the outside of your glass. The rain sensor works by measuring how much light is reflected back to the sensor on the front windshield. Therefore, when it rains more light is reflected and the windshield wipers will turn on.
