Shade Band

A shade band is a 3"-6" strip of darker tinted glass at the top of the windshield that provides protection from the glare caused by the sun. This allows the driver to be able to see more clearly and not be blinded when the sun is at its peak. Shade bands do not fully block out the sun allowing light to still come in so you can see. Depending on the make of your vehicle shade bands come in different colors from gray to green to blue and other sun-reducing shades.
