What is a vent glass?
A vent glass is located on the side of the car next to the movable door glass. The vent glass is typically triangular in shape.
Why do we need a vent window?
The vent glass holds the side window(door glass) in place and allows the door glass to roll all the way down. The vent glass was originally created to allow ventilation in vehicles before they had air conditioning. Modern vent glasses do not open, but older model vehicles will have vent glasses that slightly open to allow air to filter in.
